Differentiating internal & external meeting participants

With security being at the top of our list we have a few feature requests when a user joins a Webex Meeting. This request is to better manage external uninvited participants who can spoof themselves as an internal user using available employee credentials.

  1. Provide a banner at the top of the Webex Meeting stating "External users are attending this meeting" if applicable

    1. This would come from the participants domain name

  2. In addition to the banner, within the participant list we would see the users name and the domain in orange.

    1. If you look at a Webex space that contains individuals from outside of your organization se see "People outside your company are included in this space."

    2. Webex Meetings should also display this information

    3. Within the participant list Cisco could also breakdown the external individuals by Domain, for example,

      1. Charter Communications

        1. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

        2. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

        3. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

      2. Cisco

        1. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

        2. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

        3. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

      3. Comcast

        1. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

        2. Firstname.lastname@domain.com

  3. In the meeting grid with authenticated users we see the Avatar of internal participants

    1. Is it possible to show external participants with an orange circle

    2. We can see that external participants on show a name versus a circle with an Avatar or Initials

    Admin response

The Meeting Lobby Roster has been updated to show attendees as internal/ external unverified - for verified internal external users, their email domain is displayed
For Personal Meeting Rooms - Site Admins can independently control how external verified users and unverified users are admitted to the meeting ( can join directly/ placed in Lobby/ can't join)
