"Recording view" options (different layouts) for local recordings

I've been frustrated by the Webex recordings which I've created, always having the same "Video thumbnails" view - which wastes over 40% of the screen with black bars, and a (useless, in many cases) self-video view.

I found the "Recording view" options in my user Preferences on the website, but via testing - and many discussions with Cisco Webex support - have subsequently learned that these options are only applicable for network-based recordings, not recordings which are saved locally on my computer.

This seems unconscionable - that even though all the post-processing of the video (combining the thumbnail view with the screen recording, modifying the layout, etc.) is taking place locally by the native Webex app, that there is ZERO way to modify the layout for such local recordings.

Why are users not allowed to choose the "Active Speaker" view, or "Content-Only" view? If we already have the options defined for the recording options for a remote recording, why can't these same options be selected for a local recording?

Further, some organizations may not allow recordings to be stored on an outside network (ie Cloud) as per Security Policy. Please get the network save features onto machine saving as well. Features to be constant across both methods.

Also, can you provide the ability to set this view per meeting? At times I need to record my meetings certain ways. I have to remember to go into my personal room options and set the view. It would be nice to have this option when scheduling a meeting.
