On 3/16/23 our 88xx series Webex phones started to display Webex Meetings notifications. In itself a great and welcome feature, but there are some usability issues:
This was a major UI change and there was no advanced notification to the community nor can I find any user documentation online.
Some people do not like the pop up and the only way to disable this is through the Control Hub - This should be a feature the user can enable/disable from the settings on their phone.
The most frequent complain I get is the fact that when a user has joined the meeting through their PC, even with the phone linked to the Webex App, the notification will not go away and the user has to tap the Ignore button.
Lastly (and this is the same on the desk devices) once a meeting is ended the notification will not go away until the scheduled end time has reached. There is no reason to still display this while there is no more meeting in progress.
