Much needed feature.

Sometimes users have extraneous or erroneous info in the name bar. It would be convenient for an attendee and/or admin to have the ability to change the name.

Yes, this is a needed feature, we also see people carrying their display names from meeting to meeting and that is sometimes misleading for the chair person. We also need to be able to do this through the API, so that we could integrate the name display names across different platforms.

My company updated Webex over the weekend to version 41.6.4.8 and with it we have lost the ability to rename a participant who shows up as a telephone number and no name. Please restore this function to the software ASAP!!!!

Urgently required.....to assist some of us who juggle between personal accounts and group accounts for various meetings....imagine finding yourself in a main meeting that requires your personal name and you had by default logged via your group account.....the only option then is to end the meeting and rejoin afresh under your name! so disgusting.

Agreed! We host virtual trainings with folks who are not super familiar with the WebEx interface - so a lot of trying to track who is who when they are logged in under the incorrect name.

We really need this! Trying to organize participants into sub groups or into teams is impossible to manage without having them rename themselves. And when a participant comes in with maybe the wrong name, there's no way to change it. It's mid 2021. How is this not a basic feature at this point?

I totally agree, this feature lack is unbelieveble and is very significative for us. We are considering to migrate to Zoom because of that.

Editing the names of the participants would be very useful options, especially for meetings, where the names of the participants for some reason appear wrongly.

Agreed! How this is not a standard feature makes no sense.

Editable display names would be tremendously helpful for our institution, since the display names pull directly from Active Directory. The option to edit their display names to reflect their title, preferred name, and pronouns.

Yes please--asap! We need it to run groups and need participants names, especially when they are new.

I totally agree. We need to be able to rename participants. We also need to be able to join a phone call with a computer connection. If they connect on their computer and then call in a separate phone, the video and audio are separate sometimes. We need to be able to combine them together and rename. This is available in Zoom.

This request is extremely important. Imagine having an online class of new students all using whatever device they can find to log in to making it extremely hard for me as a teacher to know who my students are. Thanks for helping make this possible!

I agree. We need the ability for our host or co-host to go into a meeting and rename anyone to a desire name.

This was an option in the past, and it's very frustrating that it no longer exists.
