Macro support for raw TCP sockets/Telnet/SSH commands

So it seems partner requests can't be seen by customers so I'm repeating request COLLAB-I-8990 (reference for the Cisco folk). This has been future consideration for over 18 months.
"Cisco video endpoints should have the ability to connect to other AV devices using raw TCP sockets, telnet, and SSH. Some AV devices only allow these connection types and this requires us to implement a 3rd party control processor like Crstron or Extron." Request from @Brian Meade 10-Sep-202

That sole capability (telnet/ssh) is the only reason I have to start a Virtual Machine in the network to control a projector and HDMI switch, opening these devices to the corporate LAN, otherwise, they would be isolated on the Cisco device network.

    Hello,

I understand that the capability to utilize HTTP REST APIs is largely hindered by numerous vendors who continue to rely solely on RS-232 and raw TCP sockets. However, my Webex devices possess the potential to effectively control them all - if only they could directly communicate with these systems. I earnestly request the implementation of a raw/telnet/SSH client on the Webex devices. It would be immensely beneficial to eliminate the need for using Node-RED to handle all the REST to Telnet conversions.

    Best regards, Martin

This idea has been in future consideration in the partner feedback forum for years now. I've raised it in the beta forum as well.
