Develop softkey templates

In CUCM, you can create a softkey template and then apply it to any number of random phones.

In WxC, you're locked down to either setting the keys at the Org/Location level or making your changes one phone at a time, then one phone state at a time.

At a single location, you may have a bunch of departments who want different layouts and it would be nice to be able to simply apply the "accounts payable" template to the 28 AP phones rather than having to go to 28 different devices and then go a call state at a time on each phone making the changes. That adds significant expense to migrations as well as a lot of frustration for the custoemr who has to manage the solution post-deployment.

Please. I have a feeling we will be setting the default to the most common settings and customizing the other phones individually.

On the device settings page, there should be four or five options - Location, Organization, Template, Tag or Custom.

I'm coming from a school system here. For me, I could probably set up a looser propfile at the org level and more strict for each building. I'd choose the org profile for secretaries and admins while switching to the more restrictive location based profile for classrooms to remove DND, Call Forwarding and add some speed dials. It would also be nice to be able to apply these templates by tag or some other criteria. Our implementation team can make it happen now but we will need to manage these settings individually any time we add or change a phone around after implementation is done.
