Create an email address for any Webex Teams space

I would like WE Teams to permit (like Slack already does) creating an email address for any given space I have access to. Then I can just send an email (or set up a rule) from an email system and it all goes to Teams.

I've done this with Slack and I really don't have to leave Slack any more since my email (those I've directed to) shows up there.

Having a @bot method to 'reply by email' would be trivial as well (since you're already giving the bot access to interact with your email).

Thanks

I would love to see an email address per space added as a feature! For the exact reasons mentioned below, with wide support for email address as a notification option being the most important.

Michael Bissani - The problem with an Outlook Alert is that is it triggered from Outlook, and then is tied to a user. Notifications for system/service level alerts then won't be useful if Outlook isn't running. If you are tying to O365 or Exchange on premise, this requires administrative work to enable the integrations.

Using a Webhook requires that the application sending the alert supports webhooks. The example of Cisco Emergency Responder is a good example of one that doesn't support that type of integration.

Most systems support email notification as a minimum, so if you supported an email address per space, your notification compatability would be almost 100% (Provided the system sending the notification could reach a public email address)

I would expect the format of the space email address could be something like:
    <guid or maybe custom string>@<webex site>.webex.com

With a relativly easy way to change the email address incase of spam.

I also want this feature. Slack assigns every group have an email address, so I can send messages to a group from Cisco Emergency Responder, or other High Level alerts from RTMT or Solarwinds. I don't need a new space to be created with each email alerts, in our case, I'd have 1000's of groups to delete every week, and a bot that pops up as says "check your email" doesn't fit the bill either.

Eric Young - We do support Outlook Alerts for Webex Teams where you can funnel specific emails from your inbox or other folders into any webex space. https://apphub.webex.com/teams/applications/outlook-alerts-for-microsoft-office-365

Are there other email platforms you're referring to that you'd like to see? You can also leverage Incoming webhooks here to post messages to a space: https://apphub.webex.com/teams/applications/incoming-webhooks-cisco-systems-38054
