Ability to position floating panel at bottom or side of screen when sharing

I urge you to VOTE for the following idea

[Edited slightly since discovering <Command+Option+Shift+H>/<Ctrl+Alt+Shift+H>]

Problem

When you share your screen in Webex (Meetings, Training, Teams ...), a little floating panel sits at the TOP of your screen, right under the menu bar. Worse still, when you move the mouse to access your menus, the floating bar expands, covering things you may not want covered - particularly annoying when trying to access the tabs on a browser that may be being displayed.

You can see this annoying behaviour in this Community post:

https://community.cisco.com/t5/webex-meetings-and-teams/how-to-move-floating-panel-when-sharing-content/m-p/4167514/highlight/true#M1719

Suggestion

Please give us the ability to position floating panel at bottom or side of screen when sharing

Implementation

I see this as being implemented three ways in the application and in Preferences:

  1. By dragging the menu bar to the desired position, just as you can drag it left or right now.

  2. As an option when the ellipsis (...) on the right hand side of the floating panel is selected, adding an option to move panel to Left, Right, Top, Bottom of screen

  3. An option when the ellipsis (...) on the right hand side of the floating panel is selected, adding an option to HIDE the panel completely until, just as when <Command+Option+Shift+H>/<Ctrl+Alt+Shift+H> is pressed.

  4. As an option in preferences to set the default position

This is Annoying AF!!! As much as I hate Zoom's 5 different modals all over the effing place, Cisco WebEx is even worse with this unmovable bar constantly appearing over your browser tabs every time you're trying to present or share your screen!!

Whomever in UX/UI is responsible for this major design fail and doing nothing to fix it should be FIRED!!!

Whatever happened to three icons at the top - minimize/maximize/close (_^X) like Windows, Macs, every virtually every OS on earth has adopted since the beginning of the computer age?

Cisco / Zoom, stop trying to "innovate" with these dumb design choices like this with this annoying "sliders" and just use a normal freaking minimize button and throw stuff into the system tray or dock like any normal application!!

please fix this, is really annoying switching tabs when you have an enormous panel at the top, it doesn't let you switch tabs, my first demo was ruined because of this.

Please please do this! It is so annoying and makes client meeting a BEAR. The floating bar covers the web browser tabs. I makes me hate using it.

This should be the default feature, why do you need to vote! shame that webex product owner doesn't prioritize it! we are having hard time sharing content in every meeting as this toolbar occupies entire browsers tab space and there is no workaround! what a stupidity.

so this is in consideration for 2 years now...

seems to be a hell of a problem to make that disappear optionally

This is so ridiculously embarrassing when presenting that I will happily give a medal to the developer who will fix this major weakness.

As an educator, the floating bar wastes precious class time and makes the students wonder why I am not doing anything - the presenter is the only one who sees the menu, not my students. PLEASE enable us to move the floating bar to the side or to the bottom

This share thing is a big PITA. On windows 10 i use Ctrl + Shift + Q to remove all panels. Esc will return the panels.

Tested the shortcuts today and Ctrl+Alt+Shift+H does not work on Windows 10.

What is working on Windows and Mac are:

    Windows: Ctrl+Shift+Q

    Mac: Command+Option+Shift+H

Escape key brings back the panel on both Mac and Windows.

Frustrating, irritating and makes the presenter look like an idiot because they are the only one that sees the menu so it looks like they are doing nothing!

Most irritating and time consuming thing ever to wait for it to disappear and CAREFULLY not make it expand so can't access tabs!! Ridiculous!

Please add this enhancement, It blocks several tabs during Sprint Planning! Moving it around the screen every time I want to find a Tab is NOT a solution-- it disrupts my focus and I have a hard time tracking the tabs to go back to.

Please find a way to help us move this annoying floating dock when presenting/sharing our screen. We cannot get to open tabs on our computer while sharing using webex.

I really want the ability to turn this stupid window off. I didn't need it for the last 3 years, and I don't need it now.
