Right now the "Input level" bar doesn't represent the available dynamic input range but is just a fun toy. If people use it to set up gain with volume slider, they can end up with a clipping signal without knowing.

My idea is to fix the "Input level" so that it represents the available dynamic input range (= being a VU meter). That way people could use it to dial in the gain.
