Ability to paste hyperlinks that are copied with display text

Currently if you copy a hyperlink that has display text (e.g. Cisco's website) and paste into Teams, it will paste only the display text. This is rather useless, and it would be better if it either pasted the URL only if the user is in plain text mode or a properly-formatted link (e.g. [Cisco's website](https://cisco.com)) if the user is in markdown mode.

    Thank you for your idea. Improved pasting behavior like this is definitely something we would like to do in the future. We don't have any plans for this as of yet

    any updates on this? I use the pasting of display text links all the time and it is still not working correctly

    Any progress here? This is very annoying, that this still does not work after more than a year being on "future consideration" state
