Transfer to Voicemail With Line Keys

Users need the ability to transfer to another voicemail by entering *55 and then tapping the line key for the destination extension. Right now, users have to manually enter the extension which requires they know the extension rather than relying on the line key speed dials.

This behavior is outlined here but doesn't work:

As you talk to someone, you may find that someone else can handle your call. You can transfer the call to that person’s voicemail.

Press *55, then either

  • The speed-dial button for the other person (if you have them on speed-dial)

  • The other person’s extension

My colleagues would also appreciate this being a feature again as they don't know the extensions by memory as there is a coverage rotation and now they're forced to look up the extensions and it's causing us to miss more calls as it's slowing everything down and making things much less efficient for all involved. Thank you for addressing.

Not being able to transfer calls directly to voicemail via the soft keys and KEM is an issue for our busy phone lines. We take many calls during the day that need to go directly to voicemail for one reason or another. Now we have to look up the persons extension via our county phone list just to transfer the call. This has created extra steps and now takes longer to transfer these calls. Most times we have customers at the window and another line ringing and need to transfer quickly.
