Push-2-Talk for Workspaces

In case of an potential emergency, responders may want to Push-2-Talk as part of their incident response. Currently that's possible with users, but not workspaces.

Some examples:

  • Some one dials 911 from a phone, but hangs up.

  • Some one pages the whole campus from a phone, but doesn't say anything.

  • Some one press a panic button on a phone, but hangs up.

The people respondering to those incident will call back, and try to find out what happened. But in those cercomstances, people don't always pick up the phone.

While you can send some one to the phone. Sending someone to the phone can take time, which could delay emergency response. And you could be sending that person into a dangerous situations.

In those cercomstances, being able to call as a Push-2-Talk could reduce response times. As such, it would be great if webex workspaces could be configured to receive push-2-talk from a desginated user, or group of users.
