Virtual backgrounds are important, but they continue to cause high CPU usage. I experience this consistently causing video latency. When I turn off virtual backgrounds there is no video latency or high CPU usage. Will you be able to reduce the amount of CPU usage they cause?
I try to stick with MS Teams or Zoom due to issues like this in Webex. My laptop CPU pings at 100% when using virtual backgrounds in Webex. It tells me to turn this off, but virtual backgrounds is a must have when working from home of even in the office when sharing an office.

Many of our users ace encounter this problem - on new DELL notebooks as well as on MS Surface devices. They don't have this problem on MS Teams or Zoom.

This is an important settings, specially as the increase of virtual meetings is now part of our day to day work. Fixing this should be a priority.

This is to confirm to the Cisco WebEx team that I and some colleagues in our office face the issue with self-video freezing while using a virtual background in WebEx meetings. It seems to be due to the high CPU usage due to the use of the virtual background feature. So, most people are recommended to turn off their video to improve the audio quality during the meeting even they have good internet access. Please also add options to allow users to add their personalized backgrounds to the WebEx Meetings App on Desktop. Currently, we can only use the ones available in the Desktop app on PC while we can add customized backgrounds on mobile devices. Looking forward to more improvements, features, enhancements and reducing the high CPU usage while using the virtual backgrounds.

Just confirm that the Webex virtual backup makes the video freezing from time to time which the sessions very uncomfortable. Attention needs to correct this.

In two separate Personal Webex meetings my Webex froze immediately after changing my virtual background last week, and I was forced to log out and rejoin the meeting. Colleagues experienced the same problem.

This is a major gripe with our users. A lot of our users are switching to Zoom and/or MS Teams because of the performance impact. Cisco needs to prioritize this right away. Organizations are not going to buy high performing endpoints for their users, they simply pick a solution that works with their existing PCs/laptops.

We use Webex and MSFT Teams in our company and there is a huge difference. Unfortunately, Webex uses more CPU than the competitor. Also, it takes up to 5 seconds to apply the virtual background. During this time the camera seems frozen.
