MPP Device Action: Replace Device

Create a device action to allow replacing an existing phone, with the same device configuration as the original device.

DETAIL: Phone for an end-user stops working. The current process would be to manually record the settings for the device (e.g. additional lines and line descriptions, line layout and any device specific customizations such as MPP User Web access or PoE power state), and then add a new device and manually configure the lines/layout/device settings. Finally remove the original device.

WORKAROUND: None. This would be a new process that doesn't exist today.

BACKGROUND: Manually reconfiguring a device for an end-user (i.e. an assistant with numerous managers) would be tedious and prone to human error. Consider a phone that has a total of 16 lines (max configurable) along with one or two KEM modules with monitored lines and speed dials. Also to note, another issue with replacing a phone is that user configured speed dials are not visible in Control Hub, so there would not be a way to record or transfer these settings.

REQUESTED CHANGE: Add a new device Action (e.g Replace Device) that would prompt to the new device information (i.e. phone model and MAC address), and then add the new device with the same configuration as the device being replaced; same lines, line descriptions, button layout, device specific settings, etc. The process would then remove the original device.
