For Large Deployments using multiple domains, and routing with Session Management Edition, it would be very helpful if CUCM and Session Management Edition, could route by incoming source trunk, like Cisco Expressway. Our Customer has a very large Air-Gapped Deployment with multiple CUCM Clusters and SME for the call routing. We are in a situation that we are going to have to get very created with Calling Search Spaces and Partitions without the option to Route by Source. Expressway and CUBE are the only products that Cisco has that I am aware of that can route by Source, but one of the competitors in our Environment, the Oracle ACME Packet Session Border Controller, SBC, can route by source, and currently in some cases this customer is using the SBC to make the routing decisions, we have team members that want to use SME to do all the Routing Decision and not have such a disconnected Route Plan, I agree that something needs to be done to help make routing simpler and remove potential routing loops.
