Ability to dismiss meetings from space list in Teams app

Webex meetings are pinned to the top of the space list in the Teams app (specifically the Windows app but probably applies to all). I would like to see two enhancements to this functionality:

  1. Allow meetings to be dismissed, so they will no longer be pinned to the top of the space list. This would be helpful for optional meetings that I will not join.

  2. Remove meetings from the top of the space list when the host has "ended" the meeting.

    Admin response

We have updates planned for this area that will keep the meetings at the top, but show them in a scrollable list, so max 2-3 meetings will be visible, while to see others user will scroll.
What is the the problem statement for the proposed enhancement?

Problem 1: Meetings that have ended earlier than scheduled continue to take up real estate on the screen.

Problem 2: Meetings remaining on the screen after they've ended imply that late-joiners could still join and participate, which results in confusion and frustration when users click to join a meeting and discover that nobody is there. This results in a flurry of texts and emails to find out if the meeting is actually ended or if it's just broken.

Problem 3: When I am invited to multiple meetings at the same time, I want to be able to close the meeting I won't be intending so that it no longer takes up real estate on my screen.

the need is to dismiss a meeting so that it is removed from that list and not visible. There is no need to see a meeting in progress if you have opted not to attend that session.

I agree with Todd's comments and share the same concerns.

My calendar is often double- or triple-booked. This means I have to decide which of the conflicting meetings I will join.

First I want to be able to dismiss the meetings I do not intend to join, in order to narrow down the options (this also applies when I do not have conflicts but I am choosing not to join an optional meeting).

If the first meeting that I join ends early and I want to join another meeting-in-progress, I can't tell if the other meetings are still ongoing, because they still show at the top of my space list even after they have been ended by the host.

With the enhancement that you mentioned, requiring scrolling to see all of the meetings at the top of the space list, I think this situation will be even worse. Without being able to dismiss meetings that I do not intend to join, and with already-ended meetings being included in the list, I will have less visibility of the meetings that I potentially need to join.
