In order to integrate Webex with external system, it must be possible to map and to exchange status information between Webex and the 3rd party system. This must be part of the centralized cloud offering and accessible via APIs.

As a result, the requirement is the following:

• allow to add personalized status information in Webex, such as

  • in building xyz

  • in a agile sprint

  • sick at home

  • available

  • away

  • busy

  • do not disturb

  • offline

• per configuration it must be possible to set the status on specific webex events, such as

  • take webex phone call

  • no user activity since 3 ... 10 min

  • stop a webex call

  • enter or leave a meeting room

• set and access the status information via API (GET, PUT, UPDATE)

• display the custom status to others

• set webhooks for status changes

  • status changed in general

  • status changed to a specific status A

  • status changed from a specific status A to a specific status B

This is important for the synchronisation with other IT systems that show similar information and control the communication between different parties.
