Ability to disable "Auto Generated Emails " from Site Admin

We would like the ability to turn off some of the email notifications which are sent automatically from Site Admin. There some occasions where we would like to send our own email, for example when an accounts is created or updated. Or Reminder Emails for Events.

    actually, the site admin can customize the email template for different purpose. does it work for the customer?
