Webex 4 Broadworks - way to convert free accounts to a webex 4 broadworks organisation

Recently webex 4 broadworks was launched. We are working on the provisioning integration but run into problems when we try to create a user with an e-mail address that is linked to a free account. This problem is quite common of course.

Now we have to send a mail to the end user and ask him to delete his free account. The user will then have to inform his admin who can then try re-enable his webex license. Of course, this will not happen.

A few possible scenario's:

  • on microsoft team (sorry for that) it is possible to link user to multiple organizations. This would of course be the most optimal situation

  • the Webex API auto-converts free users to paying organizations but of course this is not the most secure option

  • another option could be that webex accepts our requests and then asks the user for confirmation. One way or another we should be informed through call back whether or not the user has accepted

  • you expose an API which allows us to build an integration that deletes a free user account on the user's behalf

any other valid solution is of course acceptable :-)

    Thank you for the feedback.

A feature that addresses this request (to some degree) is in trial and will be released soon. an email to the free account user will be automatically generated and the link will lead the user to a set of options that the user can choose. Initially the choice the user has is to delete their free account. This will eliminate the need for the partner to reach the user directly and hand manage each such case. We do have plans on making this even more easier for a partner by providing call backs when user actions are complete etc.
