Feedback about O365 Webex Scheduler addin in Outlook

Cognizant has implemented Webex scheduler add-in for Mac users and received the below feedback from a user.

Users are finding this new Webex add-in to be more complex than the existing Webex productivity tool while trying to schedule WebEx meetings. Can you share this feedback with BU team and ask them to bring the scheduling experience on par with the current Webex PT?

In the new add-in, users have to click on 3 dots à WebEx preferences & select meeting type dropdown & save & Add Webex Meeting.

In the current Webex add-in (PT), users have to just click on Webex icon dropdown in the invite to select either PMR or scheduled meeting.

Please fix this ASAP as users are having issues with this.

Re "Users have to click on 3 dots à WebEx preferences à select meeting type dropdown à save à Add WebEx meeting", this is a limitation of the new Add-in architecture that Microsoft is requiring us to use. However, the icon will show up in the main ribbon bar if you simply make the Outlook event window wider. Microsoft is blocking injection based plug-ins like Productivity Tools (see https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/office/known-issue-in-outlook-for-mac-disabled-injection-based-plugins-dc6f9490-da7d-4d35-8793-835636b954d5?ui=en-us&rs=en-us&ad=us) and this is not something that can be changed on our end.

We added a mechanism for users to quickly change from PMR to Scheduled Meeting in the Webex Preferences Panel.

Microsoft has limited what and where the real estate of adding buttons using the Office Add-in framework, therefore we cannot implement in the same way as with the classic Productivity Tools.
