I'm finding the experience and features available in Webex Modern View Recordings vs the Webex Events recording page is different and is not meeting the needs of my department. I submitted a case and learned my experience is "as designed" and there are no plans to adjust. If you ever needed to edit an Event recording, upload and Share it, please vote for enhancement to have Share button shown for uploaded MP4's for Events.
I'm trying to accomplish this: upload an edited Webex Event mp4 as an Event. Then transfer it to the business leader host account, who will then 'share' from their account to others in the business targeted for replay.
When uploading a recording using the Webex Events Recording page, the Share option is not available. Therefore, I cannot share a recorded Event where I had to download, edit, and re-upload the MP4. I can transfer it, but the Share button is not available. All functionality exists for recorded Events (when there is no need for any advanced MP4 editing.
I tried Modern View recordings to test another option. When I upload a recording using the Webex Modern View \ Recordings page, the share button is available, however the assign is not available.
As a work around, we upload to Events and transfer the Event recording and direct end users to open the event and then copy and paste the url shown for sharing. (The button was easier for my customer to find).
