The Webex shortcut button on our VC devices has been very useful for joining meetings, however we would also benefit from having another button that would quickly enable users to join our company's MS Teams Meetings via the CVI service.
I imagine it would work similar to the Webex button (user presses the button and is prompted for their meeting ID), however have an additional configuration steps for enablement:
Not enabled by default, an admin needs to first configure the site/tenancy name that will be used. This should be able to be done locally or via Call Manager / Control Hub to apply to all managed devices.
Once enabled, a user enters their meeting ID and presses call - the device dials out to <meetingid>.<site>@m.webex.com
Again realising that CVI only works to one tenancy, I believe many companies would mainly only dial into their own MS teams meetings. Perhaps a message can be displayed when a user is entering in their meeting ID to explicitly say it will only work with MS Teams Meetings for <site> if concerned?
Hi, you can accomplish this by now.
First discussed here: https://community.cisco.com/t5/webex-administration/adding-microsoft-teams-zoom-or-bluejeans-icons-on-a-touch-panel/td-p/4083618
Tested on a device today with RoomOS 10.0.1.0 cb29a94f145 software version, you can upload custom logo's and attach whatever macro you want to it emulating exactly this behavior.
