New recording layout – Provide a new recording layout that only includes the host’s video. The concern here is that when a recording is made and students are present in the meeting and have their video shared, they are going to be included in those recordings which raises some privacy issues. For now, the hosts are going to start using the recording layout that hides all cameras, but that takes away from the lesson when the instructor needs to show something on their camera.

Recording layout option – When someone is speaking during a recording, it shows that person’s name within the recording. This again, raises some privacy flags and the only way to get around it right now is to set the recording layout to the option for “no participant video is recorded” Again, that’s less than ideal, but it’s the only way to do it right now. If maybe there was a checkbox that could allow hosts to disable participant names within recordings, I think that would alleviate the concern.
