Without wanting to have the admin automatically made co-host, we have had situations where it would be useful for the admin to pull up the host key for a meeting.

For example, we had a situation recently where some participants' mics needed to be muted, but the host was not responding and could not be contacted. As the admin, I was asked if I could jump in and take control, however there was no means by which I could assume a co-host role as I hadn't been sent the key.

Not a common occurrence, and I understand there could be security concerns for organisations holding confidential meeting, but it would be useful.

I can see where this would be helpful if a VP schedules the meeting, but would like to give permissions to a co-host to join the meeting and record.

In many organizations the autonomous use of webex is a consequence not a necessity for privacy reasons. Many educational institutions have transferred their training activities to remote teaching systems, but teachers are not experts in these tools nor do they have confidentiality requirements towards local platform administrators, whom they typically trust and from whom they would like to have support in the simplest way possible.
Preventive invitations as co-hosts, invitations during the event, election as host, even just the identification of the meeting in progress are often problematic and involve delays in intervention times and problem solving especially in institutions with hundreds of parallel meetings ( think of the multitude of parallel university courses).

An immediate access to meetings (and events) for the local admins, with the role of co-host, possibly reported in a graphic manner to the owner of the room (as currently implemented for the unmute functionality) would guarantee rapid intervention and the support required by the end users

Need to better understand this ask. This ask is a big red flag from security and privacy perspective.
