The WebEx contact view is much more cluttered than Jabber because it does not allow you to hide contacts who are inactive. I often want to check status of a contact quickly before interrupting them, and it is much harder to find them quickly when all the Inactive contacts are showing as well.
I understand that because of message persistence you may want to message someone who is not currently available, but 80% of the time I want to message someone who is actually there and can answer back quickly.
view -> Show offline contacts is the way to do this in JABBER.
This option is not in the Webex client as far as I can see. Group by or Filter by (status) would accomplish this - I agree with Dominic on that.
