The background of this idea is that there are limitations in bandwith of internet connections. If only the video of the current speaker is shown, this would the reduce this problem. The other point is that people do not want ot be observed during the whole session. In the consequence many sessions are performed without any video. A combined button for mic/video would facilitate to use video only while being the current speaker
