When operating in an larger environment with multiple domains and clusters all federating with each others, every contact of a remote domain (within the corporate network) needs to be acknowledged before Presence status is working when not using Intercluster Peering (which is not always possible/needs same presence domain).

Adding a Jabber setting for TrustedDomains or alike would surely help here where you can add a list of (sub-)domains (maybe with wildcard as well) to have Jabber acknowledge these domains automatically as if they were IC peers.
