Rehearsal mode for band, choir, orchestra, and other music groups with a "listen button" for the conductor.

Let's create a rehearsal mode that can be initiated from a live meeting. The presenter will share prepared content (ex: conducting video) that streams audio and video while all participants follow along to sing/play their part in the piece of music. During that time, the presenter (conductor) will use a special listen button that is only active during rehearsals. The listen button will "un-mute" one performer at a time from the list of participants to allow the conductor to check parts. Microphones will remain muted from participant to participant. This will eliminate problems with sound delay due to variations in internet speed. Note: the presenter (conductor) must remember to "mute me" when sharing rehearsal content so the performers do not hear part checks when the conductor clicks the listen button.

We are eight months down the line and it is still a future consideration.

This is Zoom's "Original Audio" feature which is, by the way, phenomenally good.

Definitely a must have if Webex wants to survive.

Glenn; the issue is we don’t want to hear them at the same and we don’t want them to hear each other. If you’re familiar with class piano, this is how it’d be set up.

I have done Zooms with family, and had a few lessons on Zoom. Playing simultaneously is the challenge, how it is heard by all parties, including intonation being evident. This is the equivalent of all students in a virtual class asking questions at the same time?
