I am the Program Coordinator of a gifted online program for Yr 7 - 10 regional students run out of Perth Modern School https://gtonline.wa.edu.au/ We have 10 teachers delivering to 71 students in the areas of Maths, Science, English and HASS.

The online teachers are pleased with the addition of breakout rooms to Webex Meetings but find their benefit is very limited without the ability to share resources, eg powerpoints, worksheets etc , with the students.

Breakout rooms are a great tool to help differentiate a lesson and let students work at varying pace and on different sections of a task. The fact that students cannot easily access resources to work on, very much limits the effectiveness of the breakout room.

I have raised this with Webex support people in the Department of Education last year and they said they would raise this with you as a suggestion.

The online teachers tell me that the older SABA platform that was used allowed for the sharing of resources into breakout rooms, and they are very keen for this functionality to be built into Webex meetings.

Can you please let me know if there is any development in this area.
