A daily experience is getting Webex calls while in a Microsoft Teams meeting. The presence status in the Webex app stays green. Many people then prefer to take Teams Calling alone without having the problem.
The presence status between Microsoft Teams and Webex app should be synchronized. This would also fix the overlap when both apps are installed and need to sync with Outlook. Many vendors are building this feature into their apps right now.
This is now scheduled to GA in Q2-CY2023.
Colleagues call me on Webex whilst I'm on a MS Teams call as it's showing that I'm available. It's frustrating. I would like to know how I can synchronise them.

We have customers on Microsoft Teams and Webex. The sales and our management always moaning about: While on a call or meeting on teams getting calls on Webex. It does work webex to teams but not the other way.

As of 2/28/2024 this appears to work, with Presence Sync enabled in Control Hub, in the Webex-to-MS-Teams direction.
We still see users in a Meeting in MS Teams and this does not update the Webex side to either the On-a-Call or In-a-Meeting status.

in the section "Bidirectional presence sync" states that for the Webex "In a Meeting" state, that "(This status syncs only from Webex to Teams)"
A fix for this in the MS Teams to Webex direction is highly desired.

Q2 is typically April 1st to June 30th, so it seems like this feature is delayed.
We are a VoIP provider and our customers use the Webex for Broadworks applications to tie in with their hosted telephony. It's my sincere hope that this version of the application (which is not the same as Webex Meetings and doesn't have a Control Hub) will have the same presence synchronisation.
It would be especially good if the user can choose (inside the app, not the control hub) whether calls during busy times are ignored (DND), forwarded to a different number, or perhaps generate a silent toast notification in the OS... instead of the very loud ringing that currently happens.

Any update on when in the second half of 2022 we'll see this? We are getting more and more pressure to move away from Webex and go to Teams. We need this with Zoom as well.
