Cisco branded video decoders

For larger conference rooms where the room kit pro is used there are often times where the TV's are further away then a HDMI cable can support or we need the ability to change the content that is shown on the TV. Today we have to use Crestron, AMX, or Extron to perform this function. It would be great if Cisco had a license enabled feature to use an IP video encoder service on the kit pro and then purchase decoders to place at each TV that could be switched between multicast video streams via an onboard macro.

    Hi,

This is not an easy request at all since it's to ask Cisco to get into a business that we are not in.

The way we recommend to fix this use case is by using a setup box that is RS323 controllable, and then integrate it with the codec. RS323 is just a serial cable and you can send and receive commends to the Webex device using macros.
