Missing functions of the "new" events compared to the "classic" events

Hello dear community and Webex team

We have been using Webex for quite a while and we use the classic events in particular (here the "login page" where the participants on the right side have to enter their name before joining the event according to the information available to us cannot be switched off).


Now we have taken a closer look at the "new" events - we came across the following points / functions that were previously not possible. it would be very helpful for us if these functions could be included soon in future releases.


  1. Expired events cannot be reactivated / used again (an alternative would be to plan the room for a longer period of time?) So for example, if a new event has to be planned for recurring events all participants have to be invited again and again.

  2. panelists (can only manually invited) and participants can no longer be imported

  3. Invitation emails cannot be adjusted and are only sent in HTML format (no longer just text)

  4. The meeting password is requested every time you log in (was previously "given" with the participant link)

  5. If the speaker enters a different e-mail address when logging in (not the one that was invited), the speaker comes into the event as a "normal" participant (was previously "given" with the panelist event-link)

  6. since the "login page" is no longer available, where details of the event or other text could be defined / displayed beforehand - is a similar function planned? or will it be the case in the future that participants will only be able to access the event directly if they have manually entered their e-mail address and name? maybe there is a link where the participant can go directly to the event without having to enter anything?

  7. Change name after login still not possible (no rename in the event)

  8. Participant can only write to "All panelists" in the chat (no privileges assignable to participants (only to the panelists -> no more public chat)

  9. Host can only write to speakers privately (no more directly to one participant)

  10. We register the participants when planning the event using our own e-mail addresses and then manually send them the participant links. Therefore, in our opinion, "registration required" should not be used at the moment (even if a participant registers, the e-mail address is not "given" when the login is called up (see point 4) - if a different address is entered than the one on the first registration form, the Registration form will appear again). It should be as easy as possible for the participant to join the event. It is best to have a direct link to the event (the participant shouldn't have to enter anything and will then enter the event with the name that was specified when registering).


Maybe that was a lot of information at once, but we would be very happy to receive relevant information
