Malicious Call Identification Restrictions | Enable MCID for SIP Trunk

There is a huge demand to use MCID through SIP trunks in many organizations like lifeline https://www.lifeline.org.au/ , NSW Police, Health Insurance companies, Energy based companies, who receive life threatening calls on daily bases.

  • MCID is used to track and maliciouscalls however it is not actually supported on SIP trunks and most ANZ customers relies on SIP trunks to the ITSP and the providers like Telstra, Optus, TPG, Vocus, and iiNet are decommissioning old legacy PSTN lines and that is the only limitation stopping customers from migrating to SIP trunks.

  • Can we please get BU to remove the MCID SIP restrictions on On Prem Call Manager, UCM- C, and Webex Calling.

  • We need a button on the hard phones, and in Soft-phone like Webex App, & Jabber to be able to send customized re-invite to SIP providers.

It's absolulately a must have feature with ISDN trunks being phased out by most TELCO's around the world.
