I also was looking for a solution to limit the search of the device directory to just Rooms and exclude Users. Currently, I have limited the initial view of the directory to just Rooms so at first glance you are just looking at endpoints on our tenant, but if you attempt to search you start to reveal any/all Users which is our entire enterprise.. executive to contractor accounts.
I would also suggest having an ability to hide all users from a device directory or be able to define which users or rooms are searchable/viewable from a particular device.
