There have been several enhancements requested for the pre-meeting lobby, including
Customisation of the lobby waiting room (banner, background, welcome messages)
and others too that may be worthy of consideration
But as far as I can see, there has been no suggestion to make it possible to change the behaviour of how the meeting behaves when it is unlocked - this choice seems locked in concrete AT THE TIME OF SCHEDULING - allowing for the scheduler to set up guest access so that:
( ) Guests can join the meeting
(o) Guests wait in the lobby until the host admits them
( ) Guests can't join the meeting
which means that a host cannot fully unlock a meeting if the (o) Guests wait in the lobby until the host admits them option was set during scheduling.
This post is a plea to allow hosts to control the lobby options during a meeting.
The way I see it being implemented is that instead of simply having the option to Lock/unlock a meeting, the host should have a 3 way option
Lock
Lock guests only
Unlock
Option 1 would mean ALL new participants go to the lobby
Option 2 would mean Guests wait in the lobby until the host admits them
Option 3 would mean Guests can join the meeting
Given the confusion that has arisen around this topic, I believe this option requires urgent attention
