We currently use Webex Events for our remote Council and Committee Meetings. In these Events, attendees can indicate a desire to speak during public input period by raising their hands.
Currently, with Reactions disabled, the Raise Hand icon is difficult to find on desktop clients, only appearing at the bottom of the Participants pane. The location of this icon is different between the various desktop, web, and mobile clients, requiring significant work to ensure that the members of the public know how to raise their hands.
It would be a considerably better experience for the attendees and more consistent with mobile and web clients if, when Reactions are disabled, the Reactions icon on the toolbar were replaced with the Raise Hand icon instead of being removed entirely.
This is a great idea. There are use cases where sending smilies is neither OK nor needed and we just need the raise hand option.
