Can I as a participant in a meeting disable

Can I as a participant in a meeting disable the sound when others are connecting?

As the notification sound when someone is connecting to the meeting can be enabled/disabled by the host only, we would like this option to also be available for other participants as in large meetings the notifiaction sounds may become rather annoying and distracting.
