Interpretation Channels Audio Recordings

The new Interpretation channels is a feature many have been waiting for. So far, testing has been positive. However, we found that if we record the session with translators, only the main (floor) audio is recorded and none of the interpretation channels are recorded. This is not ideal as the new feature would only benefit users that are able to join the session live. If users are unable to join and rely on viewing the recording after the fact, they will not be able to understand what is going on due to their preferred language channel not being included in the recording.

The translation is a great feature to have and also makes sure that everyone gets the same/similar experience. If Webex can find a way of capturing the translations as part of recordings (even multiple), I think they will really stand out in the market.

We recorded a meeting with interpretation and - believe it or not - had to pay around $400.-- to each interpreter for the copyright of their recorded text. But, as you may know, it wasn't recorded what we only found out later.

Having an interpretation feature being unable to record the translations is kinda half backed and we ask you for including this feature very soon. Until then please display a big notice to inform the ones scheduling a meeting with the intend to record it with interpretation. Thanks.

This is a "must-have" for us to use simultaneous translations in Webex. We hope to see it soon!
