Our company Interactio (Interactio.io) provides simultaneous remote interpretation services using our own as well as other communication platforms. Currently we are considering the development of an integration of our services to WebEx using embedded app.
The core idea is to provide a meeting participant with ability to switch to their preferred language during a meeting. For that they can select interpretation stream (interpretation is provided by certified professionals at Interactio side).
The obstacle we face at the moment is that at the same time we need to mute original sound of the meeting. And this is not possible at the moment with embedded app.
We would greatly appreciate if you would consider the development of such a feature. We believe that this way your communication platform would gain additional functionality and at the same time allow wide range of our existing customers to continue using WebEx when they require remote interpretation services for their meetings without need to switch to other solutions.
Also if you find it worth considering we are open to have a meeting to discuss any
aspects of such an integration.

Here is the answer we already received from your support (frankly speaking the answer was pleasingly swift)
We clarified with the Embedded Apps SDK engineers and according to them, they don't have any plans to expose such functionally at this time but we can accept it as a feature request. They also noted however, that they could see some security concerns if an 3rd party app could mute / unmute a user, but they suggested to submit a new idea suggestion here https://ciscocollabcustomer.ideas.aha.io/ . Product Management monitors that page and the most voted ideas will be considered for future implementation.
