Hold Music in Event Center

This would be a good for attendees to check the audio stream is working whilst the panelists and hosts are preparing to start the event. Have a function to turn hold music on and then off by the host.

I do not like the work around, My agency uses a verizon operator. I would love to use WebEx audio but needs an easy way to put on hold music for attendees. Thank you.

Cisco has a work around process documented but its more hoops than I would like to jump through just to have audio playing in the background during Webex Event practice sessions. A toggle switch for on-hold music to be played during the main event during the practice session would be a great feature to have.

I do this now with a second computer logged in as a an unmuted attendee but since we can't share computer audio I have to do all sorts of cabling adjustments to allow the music to play. I also have instruction slides that show to the participants telling them the rules of the meeting.

It would be a nice benefit for all Webex platforms. This will aid as sound check as well when people enter a meeting.

This would be a hugely helpful feature. For the moment there is a workaround:

o Locate a spare physical or virtual Windows computer and install a 'virtual cable' that allows more control over where the audio is routed

o Connect the computer to your Event as an attendee choosing a suitable name and when connecting audio use the virtual cable as the microphone source (and now selecting music mode of course)

o Run your music of choice on loop and then the host can mute / unmute as required

Works well enough but I'd welcome a built in solution for this

I agree, we really need this functionality so guests have something to listen to before the event, know they are in the right place and can ensure their audio is working (majority of other platforms have this)

I agree that some ability to have music and a title graphic/slide would be IDEAL to display to attendees while the presenters are in a practice session.

You can have a hold slide by sharing a file before going into practice session. That image will stay up as attendees arrive and you are in practice session.

This would be great along with a splash screen. I recently attended a Cisco event held on the Webex platform. When i joined the meeting there was no music and a screen that said the host / panelists were in a practice session. Really? Terribly unprofessional look, and these are the Webex event experts hosting this session. The product has fallen behind drastically in my opinion. But I believe in Cisco, let's get back to being at the forefront.

Good feature, along with live captioning when it will be available to other regions,?as it is currently available for US customer only. When it will available in other languages Arabic or so. As this feature is available in MS Teams.
