Include a option in Control Hub that allows admins to restrict hosts from scheduling and starting meetings for a concrete period in time.
That would be useful for admins of big organizations to prevent issues/complaints from hosts (unable to host meetings, error pop-ups, etc.) for periods when they apply changes in the organization settings.

    Admin response

What is the reason to add this feature? Could you please provide a use case? Could you please expand on what operations? The SSO auth contract change would allow existing users with an OAuth refresh token to continue working until a new SSO contract was put in place for new users.

We are just not seeing any valid need to prevent users from scheduling or hosting a meeting. We want to design systems that are always up and operational. We have backup clusters if a Site or Cluster were to fail for some reason and meetings would continue to run even with outages.

Specific operations may affect Webex users, either disrrupting Webex service or having a poor Webex experience, by instance, SSO authentication certification renewal. To prevent this kind of issue we suggest to provide Control Hub with an option which will offer the possibility to Webex administrators to define specific periods of time at the users will not be able to schedule and start meeetings.
