Allow desk camera and desk hub to be used as Occupancy sensor in hot desking scenario

Desk camera with USB-C monitor setup for hot desking check in and desk usage insight


Setup

  1. Single USB-C connection to laptop for power ,presentation and video including desk camera

  2. Cisco Desk camera is powered by USB-C monitor


Use Case

  • Desk camera detects Occupancy of desk when connected to laptop to indicate Online status in control hub or in use .

  • Occupancy analytics/check-in available via webex control hub REST API which provides real time Occupancy feed to native webex meeting app to book a desk/on availability of a desk or hisyorical insights to Facilities manager via control hub on desk usage.

  • All third party desk booking apps to connect to Webex REST API in order to check in or release desk booking based on Occupancy of that desk
