Assign a name to an external number.

The customer would like to be able to assign a name (Caller ID) to an external number. That way when the number calls them, they would be able to see the name.

    Webex Calling handles contact very poorly. There are Contact on the handsets (which only apply to that handset), Contacts in Webex Calling (which only apply to the Webex App) and Virtual Extensions (which only apply to handsets and have a maximum of 1000 system-wide and 1000 per location. We have over 2,500 employees and would like to add all their cell phone numbers into the system so that when they call in we know who they are. This doesn't work on our handsets as it only allows 1000 virtual extensions.

    Org wide: You may create a virtual extension for that number. In case it calls in, you will see the name.

    Personal: Create a contact with that number.

    Organizational contacts are planned, ie. some kind of central phone book.
