Self-view tile in Grid view, in Webex Meetings

Some of our users noticed, that the self-view tile in Grid view, in Webex Meetings, seems to have changed. Previously, the participant's self-view video icon/tile would appear alongside other participants by default, even if video was not started. Now, the self-view icon/tile only appears when the 'Start video' button is clicked. Is there a way to change this setting back to how it was before? Some of our users don't want to share video, but still see their icon/tile alongside others in the meeting. Thanks!

Yes 100%. I would like to see my icon in participant view without having to share video.

Agreed, please return our ability to see our own panel. It helps for visual feedback, and just checking our profile name and picture is displaying appropriately. Thank you.

To be able to see if sounds are coming from our mic, OR NOT, with the blue box is important. Plus I almost do not feel part of the meetings anymore, like I am spying on one as an outsider.

Without being able to see yourself you can't tell if audio is being received for you. Please add back the self view tile.

I'm all for change... but not this one! Please revert back. It's confusing. I like to make sure I am in the meeting too! :)

The little bit of space that was saved my removing us, does not make any impact on what we can and cannot do on the screen and we need this box back with the blue frame to show who is speaking. Even for those that think they are on mute and are not... they have no idea, until someone calls out their name to tell them they can be heard. Not a great situation

Our webex meetings are filled with chat comments of "Can you hear Me?" and "Am I in the meeting?" and no one can tell if they are muted or not. The blue frame on our box tells us that we are being heard. If we lose temp connection, we need to know if we are still there or not.

Completely agree - this was not an enhancement. Please revert update.

Agree that this needs to be changed back to the way it was. Thanks to the submitter!

Not sure what thought process allowed this to happen. I want to see my tile on teh page - something which others can see.

This is a terrible idea, its important to see what other see

Why would I not want to be able to see what the rest of the group is seeing? Do you even HAVE change control?
