I feel that it is useful to close registration prior to meeting so you will know how many participants have enrolled and you can prepare for your audience and input closed-caption if needed (or any other accommodations) instead of waiting until the last minute (if you have a last-minute enrollment). I think it would also be helpful to be able to be able to close registration (1-2 weeks prior) to meeting date. You could accommodate this by adding a drop down box (with a calendar) and you can select the date you want to close the registration.
