Some clients have basic routing needs that could easily be handled with the webhook interface. For example, routing calls based on timezone associated with their area code. I have developed the code to do this; however, I recently discovered that telephony_calls events are by user, and I would need to set up a webhook for every user, which is not practical. Please consider adding this to the roadmap, as there are many clients who do not want the overhead of a full contact center solution, but rather just need some simple automated routing of calls.
