Make it easier to see if meeting is recording or paused

In earlier versions of WebEx, when a meeting was recording, the record button would change to a pause button. Also, the recording timer was shown on the main screen. This made it easy to tell if recording was in progress, as there would be a "pause" button showing and the timer moving during recording and a "record" button showing and the timer stopped when the recording was paused. Since a recent update, the record button always says " record," you have to hold the mouse over the record button to see if the meeting is recording or paused, and you have to click on the record button to reveal the popup with the pause button and the recording timer. Also, in the light theme (and medical literature recommends this to avoid eye strain), the red color light for the record button and the reddish maroon color for the pause are barely distinguishable. In the present setup, it is more likely to have a "hot mic," where the meeting is recording while the host thinks the meeting is paused. (This has happened to me several times, and it is particularly problematic as we are a court and rely heavily on off-the-record discussions being unrecorded.) I request that the record button in the main recording screen change back to pause when recording is ongoing, and that the recording timer be visible in the main screen without having to bring up a popup. I also request that the color light in the light theme be a color not in the red/maroon family (for example, orange or blue) when the recording is paused, so as to differentiate it from the red recording light.

Thank you for filing this request. We will look into this and improve the in-meeting recording controls.
