Add Google Drive permission checker to Webex App

Problem statement

Customer working in Google Workspace envirnonments for document collaboration and Webex for communications often share links (URLs) to Google Drive files (Docs, Sheets, Slides) in Webex chat spaces.

In Gmail and other Google apps, if you share a file with people, the app checks whether they have access to the file. If they don't, the sender will see a popup prompting them to share the file with recipients. This helps to avoid people receiving a link to a file but finding that they don't have access, which then generates emails and chats like to resolve it.

In Webex App, people regularly share links to Google Drive files, but as there's no access checker, there's often friction around missing access.

Proposed solution

As Webex customers can connect their Google Accounts to their Webex accounts, why not add this Google Drive access checker feature to Webex App. It would require Webex app requesting and gaining permission from Google Account to manage Drive files. Then whenever someone pastes a link to a Drive file, Webex App would compare the access rights on the file with the people in the chat space. If there's a difference, people would see a popup prompting them to give access.
