Communicate with Person in lobby on Webex

We today just allow the person to be in lobby and decide whether to admit him or not. But post this pandemic, the physical meeting and virtual meeting have not difference. We would need a way that the person in lobby area can communicated from the Host and alternate host in meeting. So once can communicate to the attendees and another be the host of meeting.

Once the person is meeting, he should first be in the lobby and from them host or alternate host can greet him and have a virtual connect. Once they are comfortable and host deems fit to allow the person in the meeting, he should be allowed to do so. Also, during the meeting if the host wants to communicate the another person he can move them to lobby to discuss.

This is to replicate the in person meeting experience of the real world in virtual

It would be great if a host or co host can enter the lobby to check on the camera set up and audio quality before sending the person to the main meeting

Agreed! My company uses Meeting Center for virtual trainings, using one WebEx link for multiple sessions. The folks who join early sit in the lobby wondering what is going on, so it would be great to at least have a message in the lobby explaining when the session will start.

Just voted! I didn't realize this feature is not available! I had to put a person in Lobby after session 1 of our meeting then check with the person why he was not leaving meeting (since he is not needed for session 2)... I had put him in the lobby to allow session 2 to start...then open TEAMS chat to talk to him.... @_@

Please add two way chat function to lobby. Perfect scenario would be to allow the host to talk to everyone in the lobby or to talk privately to one individual in the case where there are multiple people in the lobby.

Being able to communicate with users in a lobby is a necessary feature for meetings that require any form of security. Please review

We use the personal meeting rooms for virtual Board meetings. and having the ability to move people in/out of the lobby (recusals, etc.) is a great feature.

That said, we have people that need to join at different times of the meeting... Some have web capabilities, others do not. I agree with this post that it would be a fantastic feature if we could communicate with those waiting in the lobby by the chat function. This could be used to identify those calling in that we do not recognize the phone number, tell someone that we're running behind on their case, advise someone that they do not need to be heard, etc..
