hide some special users from the call directory

The customer go to -> call -> directory they see all devices and users are configured in the control hub


The customer wants to add a feature to hide some special users from the call directory

    While Cisco prides itself on visibility and transperency -- to a lot of the previous comments/vote by our fellow PSS/VSS/AM's -- there are many instances in commercial/public sector settings where the ability to hide or give permissions to certain levels of visibility would go a long way. Whether is be board members, C-level, execs, supervisors, QA; the option to show and hide would add to the value. Customization fit for any footprint.

    I would also like to see this implemented as a solution to hide or modify the phone number listed for users in the directory.

    I need to keep certain extensions private - superintendents, directors, etc for example, most calls should be handled by their secretaries unless the admin decides to share their direct line with others. I also have serveral extensions that are there for functional purposes and don't need to be listed in the directory. My users shouldn't need to weed through information auto-attendants and call queues.


    On the opposite end, add the ability to make custom contacts to make finding people or departments easier. If I want to reach the super intenendent, let me search for her but have the number that shows up point to her secretary's phone.

    Microsoft has this with "hide from address book" option on special contacts. Please reach out if you want to discuss my reasoning in more detail.
